Biblical Integration:
“If I speak with the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal”. 1 Corinthians 13:1.
Lake Arrowhead Christian School strives for the highest academic standards as we are called to dedicate all our efforts to God. Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters”. Scripture tells us that in working for the Lord, showing God’s love is our first priority. The Bible is God’s message of love to the world. Accordingly, LACS integrates God’s love and Biblical teachings into every aspect of academic life. We prayerfully consider yearly scripture themes. Additionally, as a staff, each teacher finds unique ways to purposefully incorporate our Biblical theme into the curriculum to enrich every subject taught and to see every academic discipline as a way of viewing God. Alongside daily Bible lessons and classes, our students attend weekly chapels with a range of Bible teachers and Christian guest speakers. Secondary students live out these teachings via community service hours, and all students are encouraged to exhort and love one another. At LACS, not only do we view each core subject from a Biblical perspective, but also, students are able to see the creativity of God in every aspect of their lives.

Academic Highlights
Lake Arrowhead Christian School has a long tradition of providing a range of additional academic opportunities for our students. As a college preparatory school, we believe that every new chance to prepare and/or compete in a given subject gives our scholars the confidence to excel throughout their lives. LACS offers a rigorous program of Advanced Placement classes designed to give students the opportunity to earn college and high school dual credit. We also participate in ACSI sponsored activities as well as many other contests in our community.

- Advanced Placement Program- LACS offers AP classes to students who are ready for a greater challenge. AP classes are designed to be comparable to university level work and provide students with the opportunity to gain college credit in their high school years.
- ACSI Speech Meet gives students the opportunity to prepare famous written works to be presented orally. Students are given additional practice beyond regular classroom instruction, in effective speech delivery. Students may also work on writing their own speeches and honing their presentation skills. The speech meet begins as a school-wide project in the elementary grades, and then the winners proceed to a district-wide meet to compete against other schools.
- ACSI Math Olympics is our annual competition against other local school in grade level math skills. Our students are well prepared for this event and bring home many first-place blue ribbons.
- Writing Festival is an opportunity for 4th through 12th grade students to submit their original poems and short stories to be judged by an ACSI panel. Many of our students’ submissions have won the highest awards and have been published into the ACSI Book of Superior Works.
- Science Fair is an annual LACS science project that begins in our elementary classrooms. Students are encouraged to explore science and make discoveries that they present to their peers in a "professional" presentation.
- Republican Women’s Essay Contest- Each year, our seniors are invited to write an essay on a patriotic topic chosen by the Republican Women’s local chapter. In 2013 our students earned $3,000. in college scholarship money.
- Assemblyman’s Constitution Essay Contest-Our history students have the opportunity to write an essay each year on their favorite signer of the constitution. Our students compete against the entire district for the opportunity to take a trip with our assemblyman, Tim Donnelly, and a parent, to our state capitol. In 2013, one of our many talented writers won first place against hundreds of entries in the district.
- Reading Buddies- Each year our junior and senior classes pair up with students in the lower elementary grades to form reading buddies. The older students and their Kindergarten through 2nd grade partners enjoy a weekly book together. This program has helped to foster a positive attitude for learning to read, and also blesses each student. Younger kids love having a special friend in high school they can wave to and our high schoolers enjoy making the young ones feel special.
- National Merit Scholars- Our school participates in annual PSAT testing which makes high achieving students eligible to be National Merit Scholars.
